The Country Mouse and the City Mouse*
The Country Mouse was busy. His friend, the City Mouse, was coming over for dinner. So, he looked for the best roots and the finest nuts he could find and prepared a feast.
When City Mouse came, however, he found the food not to his liking and invited the Country Mouse to his house in the city where food is abundant and really tasty. Hurt but curious, the Country Mouse went with his friend.

As soon as they got there, the City Mouse bragged about how big his house was, which actually belongs to a wealthy businessman who was often out of town. The City Mouse immediately brought his friend to the pantry and showed him A REAL FEAST.

But as they were feasting, the door opened and in came a fat old lady with a broomstick and chased the two mice who ran for safety. They went into another room, but before they were able to take a deep breath, a large black cat jumped into them.

The Country Mouse ran as fast as he could, and he never stop running until he reached his house and promised himself that he would never leave the safety of his house again.

I love this story!
The Peach Kitchen

Yes, this story never fails to instruct people about the folly of living a dangerous and fast paced life. It is better to be happy and contented with what God has provided us than aspire for something out of one's reach and face danger in the process. Thanks for the post. God bless you always.
Aesop's fable is one of the books that i enjoy reading over and over again!
