April Fool’s Day Joke*
Spunky the Monkey is so excited! It’s only a few days before the April Fools’ Day and he was planning some naughty tricks against the other animals.
So, the animals are worried. They didn’t like Spunky’s tricks. Sometimes, they are too much that they hurt physically or sometimes, they hurt the animals’ feelings. Most worried among them is Elba the Elephant.
Elba is a nice elephant. She doesn’t want the other animals to get hurt. So, she went to Spunky and told him to stop his practical jokes on April Fools and that nobody enjoys them. To this, Spunky only laughed and told Elba that she is just jealous because she couldn’t think of a better April Fools Joke.

Elba got mad, she told Spunky that she could think of something better and even something that wouldn’t hurt anybody. Spunky took it as a bet, so he dared Elba that if she beats his trick on April Fools, he, Spunky, wouldn’t play a trick on animals at all..
So, Elba thought of a trick. She thought deep and hard, until she came up with an idea, and hoping that Spunky wouldn’t notice, she went to the monkey’s house very quietly that Spunky didn’t even notice her.
On April Fools Day, everybody was surprised. Spunky did not play any trick on any of them the whole day. And at the end of the day, Elba went to Spunky’s house and said that he lost their bet and that he’s not supposed to play tricks on animals any more.
Spunky was puzzled. It wasn’t April Fool’s yet. But Elba answered.. ‘yes, it is! and i made a trick on you.. i turned your calendar back when you weren’t looking. so now, leave all the animals alone..’
From then on, Spunky the monkey stopped playing April Fools trick. Thanks to Elba the Elephant..

Why Bear Has Stubby Tail?*
Bears are such big animals, but do you ever wonder why they have stubby tails?
Well, there was an old belief that bears used to have long beautiful tails and they always show it off. Now, everybody gets irritated when the bear starts to brag about his tail and that includes the fox who has a long tail himself.

So, one day, the fox decided to put an end to the bear’s bragging. He offered to help some animals carry some fish for them and he made sure the bear sees him. Well, the bear really loves fish, so when he saw the fox carrying a whole bunch of them in a bamboo pole, he asked how he got them.

The fox happily told him that he needed to sit down, make a hole on the ice and put his long beautiful tail into it, and that he should wait until a fish tugs then it’s time to stand up. So, the bear, excited to get plenty of fish, did exactly what the fox said.
But as he was waiting for the fish to tug his tail, he dozed of. The fox smiled as he noticed the water getting hard around the bear’s tail. He suddenly yelled.. ‘Bear! Bear!’
The bear woke up and immediately stood up leaving his long beautiful tail behind.

The Dolphin and the Monkey*
Once upon a time, there was a young sailor who had a handsome but boastful monkey. He always took his monkey on board.

But one time, a terrible storm hit the sea and the ship where the sailor and his monkey was in turned over. The poor monkey was separated from his master.
Luckily a kind dolphin came and offered to give the monkey a ride to the shore of Greece, the nearest island from where they were. The monkey was so thankful he rode comfortably on the dolphin’s back.

As they were swimming, the helpful dolphin asked how long the monkey had been in Greece, in this the monkey answered
“I’ve lived here forever” with a wide grin on his boastful face. The dolphin got excited and asked if the monkey know PEREUS, a famous city in Greece.
Can’t help boasting, the monkey answered
“Oh yeah sure, he’s a dear friend of my family’s” thinking that Pereus was a person.
The kind dolphin, realizing the monkey was a liar, got so irritated he dumped the monkey on the water and swam away leaving the boastful monkey to swim to shore by himself.
Moral of the Story: ‘Don’t brag. Don’t lie’
