Kung Ayaw Mo Wag Mo
Well, I’m really sorry about this guys, but I am not a very big fan of Filipino movies. I seldom watch Filipino films and among the few that I watched, I enjoyed even fewer..
And this is the only movie that I can clearly remember I enjoyed watching, that is.. I laughed boisterously and I cried sincerely. Maybe there are more but I can’t remember them right now.
Starring the Diamond Star, Ms. Maricel Soriano and the Fashion Icon, Jolina Magdangal,‘Kung Ayaw Mo Wag Mo’ is a movie about two orphaned sisters, Doris and Ditas. Doris played by Maricel Soriano runs a carinderia from which she earns the money she uses to send Ditas played by Jolina Madangal to a reputable school.
Also starring Mr. William Martinez and Marvin Agustin, Kung Ayaw Mo Wag Mo is a love story between sisters combined with comedy, drama and romance.

The Wise Cat and the Lark
A hungry lark spotted something below, so she landed on a tree branch and found out that it was a cat pulling a wagon full of fat wriggling worms.
She flew down to the ground and asked, ‘Hey there Cat, what do you have there?’
The cat answered, ‘O, hello Lark, I’m selling worms..’
Grinning, the lark asked again, ‘What do you want for a piece?’
“I will give 3 worms in exchange for 1 big feather..’
Without second thought, the lark plucked one big feather and gave it to the cat. The cat tossed her 3 fat worms and started to walk away. Looking at the wagon, the lark called the cat again and asked for more worms, and more, and more, and more…
After some while, the wagon is still half full and the lark has very few feathers left. That’s when the cat said.. ‘Look here, Lark. I really want to go home now but I still have a lot to sell. If you will give me 3 big feathers, I will give all of these to you then I can go home..’
The lark, thinking it was a sound deal, pulled 3 big feathers.
The cat grinned and made a loud self-satisfied purr..
Unable to fly without her powerful feathers, the lark helplessly looked at the cat as he jumped on her and devoured her for lunch…

Bored in his new home, Dre (Smith) wanted to go back to Detroit, but started to like China when he met Mei Ying. His feelings for Mei Ying, however, made him a target for a bully named Cheng. Dre was being badly beaten by Cheng when the maintenance man, Mr. Han (Chan), a secret Kung Fu Master stopped the fight.
Dre was able to persuade Mr.Han to teach him Kung Fu, and learned that Kung Fu is not about punches and parries, but maturity and calm..
Too bad I haven’t watched it yet… But I surely will..

Where did the LADY LIBERTY Come from?
Most of the people I personally know would love to go to the US of A. And if I were given a chance to go there, myself, I would like to have my picture taken at one of the most famous statue in the world, the Statue of Liberty.
But did you know that Lady Liberty was not made by American people? She was designed by Artist Frederic Auguste Bartholdi as a gift from France to America’s 100 years of independence. She was shipped to America in 350 pieces and was put together in 4 months.
Standing 305 feet from the base to the torch, Lady Liberty is the symbol of America’s love for freedom. Her torch is lighted by hundreds of light bulbs. Her crown has 7 spikes representing the 7 continents of the world. Her copper skin is rich and green and the day of the declaration of America’s freedom from England, July 4, 1776 in Roman numeral is carved on her tablet .
The Statue of Liberty is indeed amazing. It is not only a wonderful work of art, but it is also an evidence of what men can do in order to be free…
When TOMMY TURKEY Runs
Tommy Turkey was very happy. He was chosen by their master Farmer Brown’s, birthday dinner. So, he was proud to announce the news to everyone.
Daisy the cow was shocked when she heard the news. Obviously, Tommy doesn’t know what being ‘dinner’ means, so she patiently explained to Tommy that being dinner means Farmer Brown is going to cook Tommy and serve him to the master’s friends and relatives.
Tommy was horrified he ran. He ran and ran all day. He ran until he thought he was so far from the farm already. When he was about to take a rest, he heard a familiar voice.
‘Hey, Tommy, is that you?’ it was Daisy the cow. Then she said… ‘oh my, you lost weight..’
It was then that Farmer Brown came and grabbed the horrified Tommy. But the farmer shook his head. Tommy lost so much weight, he’s no longer good to be dinner.
From that day on, Tommy made the habit of running around the farm. That way, he will never be fat enough for dinner.

Sleepless in Seattle
This is the first time I am going to join Tuesday Couch Potato through this site as I have always been posting my TCP entries through my other blog Kimmy Schemy.
Now, as to my pick for this week’s theme, American movie, that would be Sleepless In Seattle, starring my favorite artists, Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan.
The story is about a widower Sam (Hanks) who moved to Seattle after his wife died. He took his son Jonah with him.
Without Sam’s knowing it, Jonah took the liberty of calling a radio station to wish for a ‘wife’ for his father for Christmas. The phone call became so sensational especially when Sam was forced to the phone to talk about his late wife and how much he loved her. It won the interest of a lot of women including Annie (Ryan) who was already engaged to Walter (Bill Pullman).
The story also featured the Empire State Building as this was where Annie and Jonah agreed to meet.
I found this movie very romantic and I never get tired of watching it.

Do You Like HONEY?
A lot of people like honey. And why not? It is sweet and is said to be healthful and somehow medicinal.
Who makes honey? And how?
Bees do. Our friends, the honeybees, make honey by gathering nectar or fruit juice from flowers. They keep the nectar in their honey stomach and when they are filled, they go back to the beehive where they live.
Once inside, they SPIT OUT the nectar from their stomach into tiny wax cups that make up the honeycomb. Then, they fan the nectar with their wings until it gets thick and sticky. Voila! It’s HONEY!
A beekeeper collects honey, put in jars and take to the stores. Then… WE BUY THEM!
