Where did the LADY LIBERTY Come from?
Most of the people I personally know would love to go to the US of A. And if I were given a chance to go there, myself, I would like to have my picture taken at one of the most famous statue in the world, the Statue of Liberty.
But did you know that Lady Liberty was not made by American people? She was designed by Artist Frederic Auguste Bartholdi as a gift from France to America’s 100 years of independence. She was shipped to America in 350 pieces and was put together in 4 months.
Standing 305 feet from the base to the torch, Lady Liberty is the symbol of America’s love for freedom. Her torch is lighted by hundreds of light bulbs. Her crown has 7 spikes representing the 7 continents of the world. Her copper skin is rich and green and the day of the declaration of America’s freedom from England, July 4, 1776 in Roman numeral is carved on her tablet .
The Statue of Liberty is indeed amazing. It is not only a wonderful work of art, but it is also an evidence of what men can do in order to be free…

The Statue of Liberty is a symbol of freedom for all peoples of the world. It was given to the US by France. Thanks for the post. God bless you all always.

How I wish I could have a chance to be there, too!
Kim, I've just known about this. Thanks
It's also my dream to visit the Statue of Liberty. I told my hubby I would never be a complete US citizen if I don't have a picture with the Statue. He just smile!
