My Grocery List
Trip to the grocery is both fun and a challenge for me. FUN because it makes me divert my attention from the usual train of thought like work, family and bills. CHALLENGE because I have to make do of how much money I allot for the grocery.
I actually do it every week. For one, it is easier to budget a small amount of money within 7 days, second because I already know how much stuff we consume every week, like 200ml of shampoo, 25 grams of coffee, 300 grams of chocolate drink (MILO) and finally because I NEED A DIVERSION a day out of the seven (you couldn’t even count it as a day, right?)
I don’t have a list with me anymore. I memorize everything I need to get and even which aisle I need to go to. Am I brand conscious? Actually, no. I just get the usual brands like Milo, Bear Brand, Nescafe, Lucky Me, because that’s what I’m used to therefore I know where to find them easily, saves time, lol! And since I get the usual stuff, I can even estimate how much I need to pay at the counter, and IF it is higher than the usual it only means a price of something went up.
I will take a few seconds to raise an eyebrow, pay my bill anyway and leave the store. Everything takes 30 minutes or so depending on the queue in the counter. Not much fun, huh? But I enjoy it anyway, lol!
An entry for

That's why I go to grocery alone because reading labels eat much of my time … my kids don't like it.. dami! dropping by for GT.. mine is posted at Woman’s elan vital
Hmm.. Grocery shopping usually takes me about 45 minutes, too. I'm not really picky.. My grocery list is all food, anyway.. I usually take a long time in the vanities and toiletires sections. Hehe..
So 45 minutes. But that's only surfing through the aisles.. Then, usually at the SM grocery section, the lines are quite long. So that takes up at least, 20 minutes.. So on average, my grocery shopping is about an hour. Mabuti na lang at may aircon. hehe..
Happy GT Thursday!! Hope you could drop by my blog, and drop a comment, too.. Salamat. =)

Yes, doing one's groceries can be fun and at the same time challenging too. We always have that problem of making both ends meet balancing between giving what is best for our family and economizing so that we can fit in our budget. Thanks for the practical post. God bless you all always.
indeed grocery shopping is challenge to do your maths and calculations. At the end of the day, what matters most is the idea that we must have the necessary things for our lovedones esp food, food and food. lovely GT visit here…

ah naku, that's why I enjoy grocery shopping if I am by myself, it's quicker.

we always get the usual stuff, too, but sometimes we try out new products recommended by my mom or sister. it's fun doing the groceries, and as much as possible we try to avoid for the activity to be tedious, because it's one activity when we can bond as a family
