I graduated from high school in 1991. It was one of the most memorable moments in my life because I graduated with the highest honor a student could possibly get. I was elated. Who wouldn’t be? I simply was the best. That’s how I felt at the time of course.
The celebration was awesome. My classmates and friends were invited. I received gifts from friends and relatives. Among which was a simple picture frame, not one of those pretty personalized picture frames that we see today. But what touched my heart was the faded picture of my three childhood friends beaming at me. I kept the frame together with the other mementos of my high school life. But my friends’ smiles, I kept in my heart and here it will it stay until I grow old…
