Rich and Poor
One day, a wealthy man took his son to a poor man’s house, hoping to show him how the poor people live. They stayed there for a few days. As they were going home, the man asked his son if he now know how the poor people live, the boy said yes, so the man asked him what lesson did the boy learn. The boy answered…
‘I learned how different we are from them, we only have one dog, and they have dog, cat, pig and hens, we have a big swimming pool in the house, but they have an endless creek at the back of theirs, we have several chandeliers hanging from the ceiling but they have countless stars at night, we live on a small piece of land, but they live on a big and spacious farm, we buy our food, but they grow theirs, we have high walls to protect us, but they have friends who protect them…’
Then the boy hugged his father and said..
‘Thank you, father, for the lesson in HUMILITY. Now I know how poor we are…’
Moral: APPRECIATE ALL THAT YOU HAVE.

Happy Sunday! Nice lesson. Yung pagiging rich, nasa attitude at perspective talaga ng tao.
hello! thank you for sharing this story. i am once again reminded of the lesson.
btw, new follower here. thank you for your visit.
wow..very nice story kim..thanks for sharing!
Laikka will love this story. what a keen child/son:) yeah we must be thankful of what we have!
It was quite funny since the boy got the wrong message. Instead of being happy that they are rich, he imagined themselves to be poor in comparison to the poor family. Obviously, the boy got something else from that visit. Thanks for the post. God bless you all always.
Wisdom words can come out from a boy…
yes, most of the times, we, poor were more happy than the rich ones:)
thanks for sharing Kim
Yup I so agree. So many small things we don’t hardly take time or take a look just to say thank you for this and that. We thought that those big ones and nice looking things are the ones that are essential and are deserved to be thankful for but it’s wrong.
