The Story Teller

My old friend, a famous local photographer, is an eligible bachelor. He’s good looking, smart, athletic and very talented. He’s what we call a ‘good catch.’ Most of us have tried to find him a date, but that was not easy. So, when I found out from Facebook that he’s now with someone, though how I learned about it was purely accidental, I was so happy. I was happy for him and equally happy for the girl. At first, I, very discreetly, asked whether what I had in mind was true. When he said ‘yes’ I was overwhelmed, but I kept quiet. I know it’s not for me to share that romantic news. Yesterday, however, I saw from the news feed that they were already exchanging terms of endearment, I almost burst with excitement. I was kind of thinking whether it’s about time to suggest girlfriend gift ideas on xmas. I know it’s still too early, but.. better early than late, right?
