The Story Teller

I think a lot of people will agree with me when I say life is so stressful nowadays. I, for one, have a very demanding and exacting job. It’s as if, I can’t afford to commit mistakes. But to be able to do that, I have to study a voluminous amount of educational materials and I have to gather all the patience I could in order to be effective in what I do. But I guess, the most stressful part is to hold back negative emotions like annoyance and extreme irritation. That normally leaves me enervated. In addition to that, I also accept extra writing jobs online that used up whatever energy left on my nearly mentally battered self. Well, that’s how difficult life is.

One day, as I was in the middle of a lecture, I forgot what I was saying. So, I simply stopped. I was almost clueless. I nearly asked aloud what I was about to say. But when I saw the confused and concerned looks of the students as they noticed the blank expression on my face which turned into panic, I looked at the board and searched for any clue to get me back where I left off. Luckily, I did. So, I continued with what I was saying.

At the end of the session, I told the officer-in-charge about what happened and she told me that I needed a break. She suggested, afterwards, that I attend something like a party. I just nodded but a question was hanging in my head. Am I strong enough for a party?

At my age, I could no longer answer that question with a straight yes. So, I believe I would be needing one of those Party enhancers popular nowadays. Somebody recommended K6 herbal incense but traditional as I am, I find it kind of scary to try something new.
